Summer Essentials

Memorial Day weekend is here, so many of us will be going away on Holiday. I'm especially excited to be going back to Puerto Rico for a fabulous 10 day vacation! I've made a list of the essential items I'll need. It may seem kinda obvious, but the list includes an inventory of my bathing suits, shorts, sandals; that way I don't leave anything behind and have to buy them again. I also put together a few evening looks to make sure I have everything I need, before I head out. Here are a few must haves you'll need for the perfect summer getaway.

 Beach Bag is a must!

Play off your best assets in the right swimsuit for you.

You always need a cover up for the walks on the beach, a pool party, or a beach bonfire.

1. Ted Baker Cover up 2. Asos Beach Trouser 3. H&M Tunic 4. H&M Maxi Dress

Sandals... Need I say more?

1. H&M Sandals 2. Shoedazzle: Jalen 3. DV by Dolce Vida 4. Joie 5. Report

Don't forget to wear plenty of sunscreen, keep hydrated and have a lot of fun! I know I will. Enjoy!!

To my Mother

My mother is an amazing woman! Not just because she's my Mamita, but she truly is an inspiring human being. She is a philanthropist, a cancer survivor, and a mother of 4 who went back to school after the nest was empty. She is sweet, understanding, fun-loving and my style inspiration. I love you, Mom!

Happy Mother's Day!

Cinco de Mayo

This past Cinco de mayo celebration was pretty fun! The weather was perfect and so were the libations. I absolutely love the up and coming neighborhood near downtown San Antonio known as the Pearl Brewery District. It's hip, urban and very chic.

What I wore:
Dress by Merprim
Belt Vintage
Boots Pine from Shoedazzle
Rings Forever 21
Bag Fifth Ave from Just Fab

Met Gala 2013: Chaos to Couture

The annual Costume Institute Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum also known as the Met Gala hosted by Vogue Magazine is the year in fashion's most anticipated event, bringing together fashion icons and stars alike in a larger than life event and this year it was no exception. The Costume Institute exhibit's theme was Punk: Chaos to Couture, honoring the fashion of a time where Punk Rock music reigned and the fashion was as outrageous and rebellious as the music itself.

Disregarding Kim Kardashian's flower Explosion on the red carpet, stars, designers and models generally kept in line with the exhibit and event's theme. Here are some of the most memorable looks of the night.

Rooney Mara was flawless in Givenchy Haute Couture

Blake Lively in Gucci

Katy Perry is a Goth Queen in Dolce & Gabbana

Sarah Jessica Parker bore a Philip Treacy mohawk headpiece

Emma Watson shows skin in Prabal Gurung

Cara Delevigne was spiked, braided and ready to rock!
